ChampionChip Digital System

The Standard System provides a 4 meters wide timing location, including a main and back up line. The Standard System can handle all possible densities of chips in the events timed. The highest possible density of chips occurs during the start of a marathon.

A Standard System consists of the following components:

4 meter wide timing location

Each Controller is attached to 4 antenna mats.
The Standard System can handle all possible densities of chips in the events timed. The highest possible density of chips occurs during the start of a marathon, when an average of 700 people a minute cross a 4 meter wide section.

The Standard System is modular, which means it can be used in different ways and combined with other Standard Systems.

Possible Standard System set ups

One Standard System can be used to create a 4 meter wide timing location, including a main and a back up line.

One Standard System can be used to build two 2 meter wide timing locations. We recommend that this should only be used at split points because there is no back up line.
(The picture shows just one one 2 meter wide timing location.)

Two Standard Systems can be combined to build an 8 meter wide timing location, including a main line and a back up line. This is the widest possible set up with Controllers on both sides of the lines.

Four Standard Systems can be combined to build a 16 meter wide timing location, with a main line and backup line. Here 4 out of 8 Controllers will be located in the middle of the lines. A physical barrier must protect this isle of Controllers, to prevent participants from hitting the controllers.
